Contest Idea – Everyone wins…

by treysmith on June 17, 2011

Hey,

Just had a cool idea!

Give me your favorite Internet Marketing Software ideas below.  Something FAIRLY easy that won’t take months and months to develop… like maybe a keyword tool, adsense finder, niche finding tool, etc.

Heck, even an iPhone App or an app for the new Mac App Store.

So put down any ideas you have below and I’ll make a survey for everyone to pick the best one.  I’ll get it made and post it here for members only.

Talk soon,

Trey

Hey Trey! What do we win if we think of the App that you pick? maybe I missed it…

Trey,
How about an App that when you hit a button it shuts down everything on your Iphone that is eating a lot of battery power. Then instead of maneuvering to several different spots to conserve power it could all be taken care of in one step.

Sorry I missed your latest webinar….can a person watch it anywhere?

Thanks.

How about an app that you can either download the free version and it would link to a server that you hear crazy sounds and you identify them and win coins or points. If you win enough coins or points you can buy the paid version. The paid version allows the person to be able to speak through the microphone or smart phone for a chance for their voice or crazy sound to be featured on the app.
Thanks,

Quick start interview skills app – so someone can quickly review what they need to do while waiting for the interviewee to greet them.

Austin Church’s idea for a mileage tracker is great. I’ve been surprised there isn’t a clear leader in the bunch that does this right. For anyone with a side business (or a full time business owner), the potential tax deductions from tracking mileage could be one of the biggest savings of the year were it not also one of the most tedious to track.

I’ve also thought a CRM platform that was as easy to use as the native contacts application on the iPhone / iPad, yet had more fields (sales lead, prospect, client, last date/time called, birthday alerts, ability to schedule future calls, etc.) would be relatively easy to develop and provide great value. The trick would be in the UI design, but it would work well across so many sales professions.

The idea: to connect customer who came for shopping to a Mall with the business that have a spacial daily offer, e.g. a lady wants to buy Shoes, for her and her 10 years son, when she enter to the mall she just have to make her shopping wish list, and she start getting the sale info with all the details, to her phone, and the way to a batter and cheaper shopping is on her way.
( I have mockups and video that explain all in detail ready, a good team need no more then 1 week for programing app. and web.)
Thanks

Hi Trey
How about a silly thermometer app that can monitor and display the current temperature and pop up with wacky sayings related to the level of heat or cold detected. Like “But it’s a dry heat”, or “Everybody into the pool”, or “Time to break out the hot buttered rum” or “Time to pop a cold one” or “If you take that off to cool down you’ll get arrested”. These aren’t particularly wacky but you get the idea. But then maybe users won’t warm up to a Smart (ass) Phone.

Working on my first iPhone app…woot! woot! Thank you for your inspiration and guidance on this one. Software that I’d love to see created is a YouTube Channel/Video views increaser. There are a few out there but they are all garbage. YouTube can be a huge source of traffic. The challenge is, you’re videos are rarely shown or featured unless you hit a certain number of views. Once you obtain that threshold, them come the real views and actual traffic to your site. Even with a very low number of views to our videos (we did nothing for them), we’ve had customers come to our site and sign up with out ever calling us. Ka-Ching! So that’s my software request, YouTube Views Software…is that grey hat?

How about an App that takes passwords stored in Blackberry’s Password Keeper and downloads it and converts it to a Password program on the iPhone. For Blackberry users who migrate off their Blackberry, it is currently not possible to get those password records off and electronically loaded onto another Smart Phone.

This idea certainly isn’t the sexiest in the bunch, but it would certainly be helpful:

Mileage Tracker for business owners

I still haven’t found a decent one, and this would eliminate a major hassle for those of us who do a tax write-off for miles traveled for business.

I think an app that takes video of the iPhone screen would be cool :D

That way you can take videos of your iPhone games running.

How about an app> that will update and expose the rehashed software programs and products being sold by affiliates and Companies??? Implementation of the actual date of creation or revised creation? Copyrights alone of the original product along with any extras like the video or website, screenshots etc are not always available.. Research and information is always required !!
“Google it” is about the only answer I know of right now to do this. Ask ourselves this, how long can the real truth be revealed even in Google? > How else can we end such skepticism if at all possible????

Let’s call the app »Dude, what did we do?«. Let’s say you have a night out in the town with your friends. You have a few beers, some shots, etc. You go home and the next day you wonder where you went last night. The application will show you on Google maps the path you took for bar to bar and you can see the »straight« line that you took to get your self-home.

Using the iPhone/iPod as a wireless headset unit trough Wifi and/or Bluetooth. The software solution will make it possible to stream audio from a Mac (or PC) trough Wifi (or a classic Ethernet connection with a Router and Wifi access point to which the iPhone/iPod is connected). Not the coolest description but let me give you an example. You’re streaming the latest video of the software system from your iPad to Apple TV (to your television) via Wifi, you’re the only one interested in the movie (can’t imagine why but never the less) you want to wear some headphones. The iPhone/iPod have a nice small headset which you could use but the cable is too short to plug it into your television, you could plug it into your iPad but it’s uncomfortable to have it on your lap or chest when being comfortable on the sofa. To solve this, the iPhone/iPod connects to the Wifi connection, taps into the video or audio stream and you have this on your iPhone/iPod now. Only thing that is left is to mute your television and everybody is happy.

Hello Trey,

I have been brainstorming an app that can be a simple push button web-page creator for iPhone. The functionality would be that you can hash out a quick sales letter and/or video opt-in page that either captures an email or allows a hyperlink to another page or something. I hope this is making sense. Sometimes when we have killer ideas, (especially when driving or rocking a deuce) is our iPhone. This may involve some other intense semantics, like a cloud server or something, but would be totally worth it. Are you feeling the vision?

Peace,

Jerret

Hey Trey,

I guess that people need help when it comes to advertising in Google and PPC generally – which you guys prefer.

An application could analyze the landing page checking if Google will like it, the keyword density is enough high and etc… And would give advice about the best keywords to use with PPC that has low CPC.

Now that would rock a little bit, don’t you think? :)

An iphone app called Buck Off ….. you are a horse and try to buck off your cowboy. using left right up down ….you can make the horse jump, spin, buck….input special moves also LLDU to make the horse do a jumping spinning buck kick…then when he bucks off his cowboy, do another special move combo like in Mortal combat…. to kick off his head and finish him :)

in the app. you can either be the cowboy or the horse or sync it up with another iphone and one of you can be the horse and another the cowboy.

Hey, Trey
I could really use an application that could generate all the Google Places business listings (name, address, phone… etc.) for any city or state I want.

Then have them separated by the business categories I choose (doctors, lawyers, plumbers, contractors… etc.) and then mark each one as a “verified” or “not verified” listing.

Right now it takes a full day to do this manually per business category :-(

Thanks,
Paul

Some kind of a payment aggregator app, so it pops up and says:
You made $50 bucks from Paypal
You made a $47 Clickbank sale
Your WSO just made another $17
You made money on Share a Sale, Commission Junction, Azoogle, Amazon, etc.

One of the coolest things was I wanted to buy something yesterday for $5 but had no money in my paypal, but 10 minutes later my paypal app popped up and said Squidoo had just dumped $4.96 in there( I know, I like to make the big money) so then I bit the bullet and just paid out the other 4 cents for what I wanted.

If the paypal app hadn’t have popped up telling me I had new money I wouldn’t have bought the thing I wanted.

Or conversely, if you are rolling in the dough what better way to impress someone than to whip out your phone and say Hey look at this app, and they see all the money you have coming in.

Hey Trey,
Love the contest. Here’s my idea: some kind of geofencing app where I can plug in an interest in a particular place, such as coffee, beer, fly fishing, or cycling. The app would then tell me the closest things that apply to my interests. This may be a pretty robust app. Not sure. You know how much I don’t know. : )
